Wilma Kay Banks, 83, of Seymour and formerly of Vallonia, died at 4:45 p.m. Thursday, January 31, 2019 at the Seymour Crossing. She had been ill for 4 years. She was a member of the Driftwood Christian Church. She was retired from the Brownstown Banner. Kay was an avid reader & quilter. She was born on January 10, 1936 in Jackson County to the late Arnold & Opal Tiemeyer Dresselhause. On June 2, 1955 in Vallonia, IN she married Louis Raymond Banks and he survives in Brownstown. Other survivors include her children; Rhonda (Don) Brooks of McLoud, OK, Thomas E. (Tammy) Banks of Arlington Heights, IL and Darrell R. (Ann) Banks of Williamston, MI; 9 great grandchildren, 1 great grandchild and 3 great great grandchildren; a brother, Donald Peace of Washington and a sister, Lula Hilton of California. Funeral Services will be conducted Tuesday, February 5th at 1:00 p.m. at Johnson Funeral Home, Vallonia with Rev. Steve Gommel officiating. Friends may visit at the funeral home Tuesday from 10:00 a.m. until service time. Burial will take place at the Vallonia Cemetery.
