William "Billy/Peaches" Carson, 65, of Vallonia, passed away unexpectedly at 10:04 p.m. Saturday, October 12, 2024, at Schneck Medical Center.

Billy was born in Terre Haute, IN, on July 2, 1959, to Wilbur Paul & Versa Dowell Carson. He was a member of Haleysburg Nazarene Church. Billy retired from Kieffer Papermill and worked for the sawmill and Bundy Brothers. He enjoyed hunting, walking in the woods, playing cards, shooting pool, IU basketball, Colts Football, and the St. Louis Cardinals.

On July 15, 2013, Billy married Regina Robbins Carson, and she survives in Vallonia. Other survivors include: his mother, Versa Carson of Salem; a son, Joseph (Brandi) Bowers of Vallonia; stepdaughters, Natalie (David) Vires of Brownstown and Kayla & Rylen Gambrel of Vallonia; grandchildren: Demtra Bowers, Ezra & Mia Barr, Blake & Raylynn Vires; brother, Tom (Carla) Carson of Brazil, IN; sister, Connie Sue (Dale) Meyers of Brownsburg, IN; and several nieces and nephews.

Billy was preceded in death by his father; 1st wife, Annie Bowers Carson; and a sister, Brenda Lee Carson Holstine.

A Celebration of Billy's life will be held on Saturday, November 2, 2024, from 1:00-3:00 p.m. at Johnson Funeral Home, Vallonia. A Memorial Service will begin at 3:00 p.m. with Larry Robbins officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to Rylen Gambrel's Education Fund.
