Viola M. Martin, 100, of Brownstown, died on Thursday, January 28, 2016 at 9:34p.m. at Schneck Medical Center. She was a member of Brownstown Christian Church. She retired from Kieffer Paper Mill. Mrs. Martin was born on September 11, 1915 in Lawrence County, Indiana the daughter of Earl and Delia Baugh Boling. On January 29, 1956 in Brownstown she married Walter S. Martin. Survivors include, her children, Thelma Weaver of Brownstown, Dennis Craig of Vallonia, and Ronald Craig of Medora; nine Grandchildren; 10 Great grandchildren; seven Great Great Grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; brothers, Don, Earl, Harry, and Grant Boling; and sisters, Thelma Kohagen, Lucille Frische Casselberry, and Helen Helt. Visitation will be on Sunday from 2-5pm at Johnson funeral home and also from 9-10am on Monday. Funeral services will be conducted at 10am on Monday at Johnson Funeral Home with Gary Morning officiating. Burial will follow at Vallonia Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be given to Brownstown Christian Church or the American Cancer Society.
