Vernon Neal Stuckwish, 70, of Vallonia, passed away peacefully at his home on Friday, July 19, 2024. Vernon was born on March 4, 1954, in Seymour, IN to the late Neal & Rachel (Peters) Stuckwish. He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Vallonia. He graduated from Brownstown Central High School and Purdue University. He was a self-employed Farmer and was a member of Jackson County John Purdue Club and a board member for Southern Indiana Melon Growers Association. Vernon was an avid Purdue sports fan and enjoyed doing puzzles & models. Survivors include: a brother, Lonn (Cheryl) Stuckwish & a sister, Teresa (William) Ticen; nieces & nephews: Sara (Chris) Jacobi, Emily (Matthew) Anderson, Amy (Chadd) Sutherland, Lindsey (Jason) Roeder, Ryan (Erin) Stuckwish, Alyssa (John) Schumm, & Kyle (Libby) Brune; great nieces & nephews: Abigail & Drew Jacobi, Sophie & Taylor Anderson, Jackson Sutherland, Kylie Zabel, Adalyn Roeder, Brandon & Cruz Stuckwish, Kaitlin & Michael Schumm, Dax Brune; and a brother-in-law, Gene Brune. Vernon was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Cheryl Brune; & a niece, Amber Brune. A private family graveside service will be held on Tuesday, July 23, 2024, at Trinity Lutheran Cemetery, Vallonia.
