Sherry Gail Fleetwood, 62, of Brownstown, died Sunday morning, September 1, 2013 at IU Health in Indianapolis. She had been ill for 1 year. She was a member of the Brownstown Christian Church. She was once employed at Spartans in Brownstown and then Tecumseh in Salem, but over the past 20 years she had been a homemaker and enjoyed taking care of her husband, children and grandchildren and loved gardening and working in her yard. Sherry was born May 28, 1951 in Seymour to the late James Frank Robinson and Mabel Ilene "Tiny" Durham. She had been a lifelong resident of Jackson County. On January 24, 1970 in Seymour she married Donny Fleetwood and he survives in Brownstown. She is also survived by 2 children, Gina (Todd) Gilpin of Columbus and Mason (Tawnya) Fleetwood of Vallonia; 4 grandchildren, Devin & Ashley Gilpin & Colton & Chandler Fleetwood; 2 sisters, Nancy Champ and Jenny Robinson both of Seymour. She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Steve Robinson. Funeral services will be conducted at 1 pm Thursday at Johnson Funeral Home with the Rev. Wes Jones officiating. Friends may call from 4 to 8 Wednesday and from 12 noon til service time on Thursday. Burial will take place at the Vallonia Cemetery. Memorials may be given to St. Jude's Children Hospital.
