She had been ill for 3 weeks. She was a member of the Vallonia Christian Church where she had been a part of the "Keenager" group. She retired from Smith Cabinet Factory in 1984 and then worked part-time at the Vallonia Tree Nursery for several years. She was born on March 28, 1919 in Clark County, IN to Chester & Effie Lee Guernsey. On January 13, 1940 she married Willard D. Fleetwood in Jeffersonville, IN and he passed away on February 19, 1989. Survivors include, Willard E. "Gene" (Teedee) Fleetwood of Seymour, Sharon (Carl) Silence of Seymour, Charlotte (Gary) Veach of Vallonia, Frances Hunt of Hamilton, OH, Donald L. Fleetwood of Brownstown, & Anthony Fleetwood of Vallonia; 1 sister, Pearl Andrews of Martinsburg; 15 Grandchildren, 27 Great Grandchildren, & 11 Great great Grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, a brother, Ralph Guernsey, a half-brother, Roy Lee, 1 grandson, Jamie York, and a daughter-in-law, Sherry Fleetwood. Funeral Services will be conducted Wednesday, June 18th at 11:00 a.m. with Jerry Wheeler and Chris Criminger officiating. Friends may call Tuesday, June 17th from 4-8 p.m. and from 10 a.m. until service time Wednesday.
