Ronnie Hughes, 78, of Seymour, died at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 8, 2020 at his home. He was a US Army Veteran and served in the 82nd Airborne during the Vietnam War. He attended the Midway Apostolic Church and retired from Schneck Medical Center where he worked in the receiving and housekeeping departments. Ronnie was born on July 13, 1942 in Sparksville, IN to the late Oscar Hughes & Dovie Daulton Hamilton. He married Norma J. Branaman Hughes on March 17, 1978 and she preceded him in death on October 14, 2019. Survivors include a son, John Paul Hughes Sr. of Washington; 2 daughters, Tammy (Randy) Byarlay of Medora and Cindy Bloom of Seymour; 7 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, a son Larry Hughes, a brother, Wayne Hughes, 2 sisters, Bonnie Foster & Caroline Rich, and 1 granddaughter.
