Ronald J. Wheeler, 84, of Seymour, passed away at 5:03 a.m. Tuesday, December 23, 2025, at his home. He had been ill for one year.

Ronald was born on June 27, 1941, to the late Daniel Wheeler & Doris Zike Wheeler. He was a graduate of Vallonia High School. In 1976, Ronald married Rita Taylor Darkis Wheeler and she survives in Seymour.

Ronald worked for Cummins Engine Company for 38 years and retired as a Tool Maker. He was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles in Seymour. Ronald was an avid NASCAR fan & enjoyed watching IU basketball and football. He loved to socialize and spend time with his family, especially his grandchildren.

Ronald is survived by his wife, Rita; children: Becky (Dave) Pasquini of Edmond, OK, Carrie (Brian) Banister of Seymour, RJ Wheeler of Columbus, & Christopher Wheeler of Seymour; grandchildren: Jessica, Alyssa, Caitlin, Evan, Cameron, & Nicholas; great granddaughter, Maylie; brother, Gary Wheeler; sisters: Carolyn (James) Davers, Rosie Grider, & Dana (Keith "Bo") Sterling; 9 nieces & nephews.

Ronald was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Donald Wheeler; brother, Randall Wheeler; sister-in-law, Jeanie Wheeler; brothers-in-law, Sam Grider & Tom Frazier; 3 nephews/nieces.
