Roger Lee Horton, age 83, of Vallonia, passed away on Thursday, June 8, 2023, at his home. Mr. Horton loved fishing, camping, and listening to country music. Born on September 15, 1939, in Seymour, he was the son of Henry and Georgia Collins Horton, both of whom preceded him in death. He married Connie Sons Cravens, and he later married Ruth M. Horton. Survivors include six children: Mary Annette Horton, Lisa Ann Horton, Diane K. Bautisa, Steve Lee Horton, Julie Lynn Hollin, and Richard D. Horton; three step-children: Kevin True, Mark True, and Vanessa True; several grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren. Mr. Horton was preceded in death by a daughter, Annette Patrick; and six brothers and four sisters. Funeral services for Roger Lee Horton will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, June 12, 2023, at Johnson Funeral Home, Vallonia. Friends may call from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the service at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, June 12, 2023, at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Liberty Cemetery.
