Johnson Funeral Home 2005 South Main Street Vallonia, Indiana 47281 812-358-3341 Robert W. McPike, 82, of Medora, died at 2:42 p.m. Monday, January 25, 2016 at the Schneck Medical Center. He was a 1950 graduate of Salem High School and then served in the United States Air Force. He was a retired farmer and had worked at Arvins and Cummins. He was a member of Medora Christian Church. Mr. McPike was born on March 26, 1933 to the late Lawrence and Nina Wesner McPike. On December 21, 1957 he married Donna Nicholson McPike at the Driftwood Christian Church in Vallonia and she survives. Other survivors include his children, Jeffrey (Tammy) McPike of Medora, Gregory (Andrea) McPike of Medora, and Dee Ann (James) Stewart of West Chester, Ohio; 6 grandchildren, Matthew, Alex, Kaitlin & Brad McPike, Ariana & Drake Stewart; 5 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, Harley Dale McPike and a sister Imogene Blakely. Funeral Services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Friday, January 29, 2016 at the Medora Christian Church with Stan Thomas officiating. Friends may call Thursday, January 28, 2016 from 4-8 p.m. at the Medora Christian Church and from 10 a.m. until service Friday at the church. Burial will take place at the Vallonia Cemetery. Memorial Contributions may be given to Medora Christian Church or to the Hoosier Christian Village Auxiliary. Johnson Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
