Robert Noel Jones, 92, of Vallonia, died at 8:40 a.m. on Monday, August 3, 2020 at his home. He had been ill for 1 month. He was born on April 9, 1928 in Warsaw, IN to the late Robert Jones Sr. & Eva Gall Jones. He was raised by his grandparents Joseph & Edith Jones. Bob was a member of the First Baptist Church of Vallonia. He was retired from Cummins. He was an avid reader, enjoyed listening to country music and watching the Chicago Cubs. Survivors include his children, Ray (Deb) Jones, Val (Bruce) Sweetheimer, Lynette Ream, & Bart Jones; grandchildren, Melissa Parson (Paul Tarchala), Jenn (Josh) Treat, Carrie Sweetheimer, Wendy Bishop, Emily Bales, Megan Sibert, Stephanie Smith, Scott Jones, Brandon Jones, Becky Collin, Trevor Hyser, Courtney Hamman, Desirae Hamman, & Cody Ream; brother, Phil Howard; & sisters, June May & Beverly Hillary. He was preceded in death by wives—Pat Jones & Beulah Jones, brother—Tommy Jones, sisters—Marsha Lentowski, Sharon Stotts, & Glenda LaCount, and best school friend—Harold Schue. Funeral Services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, August 6, 2020 at Johnson Funeral Home with Matt Roberts officiating. Friends may visit the family on Thursday from 11:00 a.m. until service time at the funeral home. Burial will take place at Kurtz Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be given to the Donor's Choice.
