Pearl Maxine Wheeler, age 91, Brownstown, passed away peacefully on November 6, 2021, at Brown County Health and Living Community in Nashville, Indiana. She was an active member of Brownstown Nazarene Church, a member of the SAM Group, and had formerly served on the church and Sunday School boards. She was a volunteer at Hoosier Christian Village. She retired from Spartan Inc. after working there for almost 20 years. She graduated from Salem High School in 1947. Maxine was born August 19, 1930, in Washington County to Roscoe Brewer and Amanda Robinson Reynolds. She married Ervin Wheeler in Salem on March 5, 1949. He preceded her in death on July 10, 2004. Survivors include: her son, Michael S. (Loretta) Wheeler; a granddaughter, Amanda L. (Trent) Austin; a grandson, Brian S. (Paige) Wheeler; a sister, Teresa (Walter) Hutchinson; 6 great grandchildren, Chase, Livie, Clay, and Lexie Austin, and Pierson and Finley Wheeler; 3 nieces; and 4 sisters-in-law. Maxine was preceded in death by 3 infant sisters, her husband, her parents, and one sister in-law. Jerry Wheeler will conduct a graveside funeral service at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, November 10, 2021, at Fairview Cemetery in Brownstown, Indiana.
