Patricia Ann (Toppe) Peters, 91, of Vallonia, passed away at her home on Thursday, March 5, 2026, surrounded by her family.

Pat was born in Henderson, KY on October 13, 1934, to the late Lawrence and Lottie (Madden) Toppe. Her family moved to Indianapolis when Pat was 3 weeks old and then came to Jackson County when she was 8 years old. Pat graduated from Vallonia High School and then attended Approved University of Beauty Culture.

Pat had her own business as a cosmetologist and later in life she was a seasonal employee at the Vallonia Tree Nursery. She was a member of the Driftwood Christian Church where she was active in Ladies Bible study. Pat also enjoyed volunteering with her church members at the Hoosier Christian Village. She was a member of the Driftwood Card Club, she loved to travel, quilt, and visit with family.

On March 10, 1956, Pat married Darrell Peters and he survives in Vallonia. Other survivors include 2 sons: Glenn Edwin (Beth) Peters & Ray Alan (Marta) Peters; grandchildren: Brittany (Brian) Redmon, Jennifer (Josh) Sawyer, & Nathan (Jessica) Peters; great grandchildren: Parker & Tatum Redmon and Brodey, Macey, & Max Sawyer.

Pat was preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Joyce Meahl; and a brother, Jack Toppe.

Funeral services for Patricia Ann Peters will be conducted at 12:00 p.m. on Monday, March 9, 2026, at Driftwood Christian Church with Taylor Brown officiating. Friends may visit the family at the church on Monday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service. The burial will take place at Vallonia Cemetery.
