Melissa Lynn Thompson,45, ofMedora, died on Thursday, February 7, 2013 at Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis. She had been ill for 6 months. She attended the Medora Pentecostal Church. She was very much a blessing and was loved by all who met her. She was born on October 21, 1967 in Seymour the daughter of Denver Thompson and Carol Bennett Thompson. Survivors include her mother: Carol Bennett Thompson of Medora; one brother: Alan (Brandy) Thompson of Indianapolis; one sister: Tonya (Billy) Cornett of Vallonia; Nieces and Nephews: Mallory Thompson, Derek Cornett, & Cameron Thompson; Paternal Grandparents: Harley & Margie Thompson of Medora; and a Maternal Grandmother: Thelma Bennett of Medora. She was preceded in death by her father: Denver Thompson and grandfather: Chester Bennett. Funeral services will be conducted on Saturday at 2pm at the Medora Pentecostal Church with Tim Gill officiating. Burial will follow at Dixon Chapel cemetery. Visitation will be from 10am-2pm on Saturday at the Medora Pentecostal Church. Memorial contributions may be given to Johnson Funeral Home. Arrangements by Johnson Funeral Home, Vallonia.
