Margaret Ann "Margy" Pogue, 70, of Vallonia, passed away at 2:22 p.m. on Tuesday, October 11, 2022, at Norton Hospital, Louisville. Margy was a member of Brownstown Christian Church. She worked for the DNR at Starve Hollow. She was a member of ABATE for 28 years and an active member of the Sheriff's Posse. The joy of Margy's life was spending time with her children and grandchildren. She enjoyed riding horses, fishing, hunting, camping, & riding motorcycles. Margy was born in Beech Grove, IN on November 8, 1951, to the late Paul Herndon & Doris Jones Herndon. She was a 1970 graduate of Brownstown Central High School. She married James L. "Jim" Pogue on June 29, 2005, in Casper, Wyoming, and he survives in Vallonia. Survivors include her husband, Jim; children: Jason (Chastity) Johnson of Brownstown & Jennifer Johnson (Quienten Schoffner) of Taylorsville, KY; step-son, Justin (Michelle) Pogue of Liberty Hill, TX; grandchildren: Isaac & Taylor Johnson & Kainan Johnson; step-grandchild, Ella Pogue; brothers: Bill Herdon of Seymour & Brad Herndon of Brownstown; and a sister, Libby Patman of Vallonia. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, October 18, 2022, at Johnson Funeral Home, Vallonia with Brad Herndon officiating. Friends may visit with the family on Monday, October 17th from 4:00-8:00 p.m. and on Tuesday from 10:00 a.m. until time of service at the funeral home. Burial will take place at Vallonia Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be given to St. Jude Children's Hospital. Online condolences may be expressed at www.johnsonfh.net.
