Lee Bowers, 69, of Vallonia, passed away at 3:47 p.m. on August 5, 2024, at Hosparus Inpatient Care Center, Louisville, KY. Born on June 28, 1955, Lee was the son of the late Otis & Margie (White) Bowers. He graduated from Salem High School and attended Haleysburg Nazarene Church. He was formerly employed with Kieffer Papermill, E & H Tubing, and Pepsi. Lee enjoyed Coon hunting, was a collector of all things and enjoyed flea markets, yard sales, & auctions. He was a Geo hunter, enjoyed Demo Derbies and racing, and always watched westerns. Survivors include his children: Christina Gray, Brownstown, Amos Bowers, Vallonia, Cortney Chilton, Austin, & Jamie Bowers, Seymour; grandchildren: Brooke Shade, Jaycob Gray, Kemora Chastain, Jameson Baldwin, Rylie Hess, Harper & Hazel Reynolds; great grandsons, Hendrix & Jamie Shade; brothers, Otis Bowers, Jr. & Roy Bowers; sisters, Mary Ruth Watson & Gail Weber. Lee was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Annie Carson; and a son, Adam Corey Bowers. Funeral services for Lee will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, August 9, 2024, at Johnson Funeral Home, Vallonia with Gary Dyer officiating. Friends may visit with the family on Friday from 10:00 a.m. until service time at the funeral home. The burial will take place at Vallonia Cemetery.
