Johnson Funeral Home 2005 South Main Street Vallonia, Indiana 47281 812-358-3341 John Emery "Johnny" Rose, 61, of Medora, died at 1:15 p.m. Wednesday April 20, 2016 at the Jennings County Health Care Center. He had been ill for 5 years. He worked in construction and was a member of ABATE. He loved to ride motorcycles, make grapevine wreaths, wood burning and enjoyed spending time with family and friends. He was born February 17, 1955 in Seymour, IN to the late James Rose & Claris McKinney Rose. He was a lifelong resident of Jackson County. He is survived by 3 children, daughter Tess (Chris) Gobin of Medora, 2 sons, Travis Rose of Medora and Josef (Rose) Rogers of Medora; 5 grandchildren, Kennedie Miller, Gunner Miller, Mackenzie Rose, Leighton Rose, Landon Rose; 1 great grandchild, Parker Allman. He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, Gary Rose and a sister, Connie Featherby. Funeral Services will take place at 1:00 pm Saturday, April 23rd at Johnson Funeral Home. Friends may call Friday, April 22nd from 4-8 pm and Saturday from noon until service time at the funeral home. Burial will take place at the White River Valley Cemetery in Medora.
