Obituary
Joe Mark Peters, Sr., age 94, passed away on August 12, 2025, at Schneck Medical Center.
Joe was born on October 1, 1930, in Vallonia, to the late William R. Peters & Helen Smith Peters. He was a 1948 graduate of Vallonia High School. Joe served in the United States Airforce as a Staff Sargeant during the Korean War and taught Electrical Engineering. On June 7, 1953, he married June Ruth (Craigmiles) Peters, and she preceded in death on January 2, 2011.
Joe is survived by his son, Michael K. (CooL) & Lorie Peters of Portsmouth, OH. He was preceded in death by his wife, June; son, Joe Mark Peters, Jr.; daughter, Jana Kaye Peters; brother, Robert (Ella) Peters; and a sister, Jean Waskom.
A Celebration of Joe's life will be held at 1:00 p.m. Sunday, October 19, 2025, at Johnson Funeral Home, Vallonia. A dinner will follow the service at Pewter Hall, Brownstown, IN and all are invited to attend.
