Joan Jackson Robertson, 94, of Brownstown, passed away peacefully at 2:10 a.m. Friday, March 7, 2025, at Hoosier Health and Life (formally known as Hoosier Christian Village).

Joan was born on June 19, 1930, in Millport, IN to the late Talmage & Lucille (Goodpasture) Jackson. On January 22, 1949, she married Basil Robertson, and he preceded her in death on September 23, 2019.

Joan was affiliated with Brownstown Christian Church. She first worked in the Clerk's office in Brownstown and then worked for several years with Markel & Markel Law Offices.

Survivors include her children: Dana Ash of New Castle, IN, Jeanne (John) Spray of Greenville, SC, & Jon Patrick (Suzie) of Eaton, OH; grandchildren: Casey Ash, Kyle Ash, Sarah (Spray) Watters & Emily (Spray) Boyd, Todd Robertson, Daniel Robertson, & Brian Robertson; 16 great grandchildren.

Joan was preceded in death by her parents; 3 brothers: J. Scott Jackson, Joe Jackson, & Talmage "Jack" Jackson; and 1 sister, Carolyn Robertson Pennington.

A Celebration of Joan's life will be held at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, March 11, 2025, at Johnson Funeral Home, Vallonia with Doug Pogue officiating. Friends may visit with the family on Tuesday from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service. The burial will be held at Fairview Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be given to Brownstown Christian Church Kitchen or to Hoosier Health and Living Auxiliary.
