Obituary
Jeanette Mae Kindred, 82, of Brownstown, passed away at 9:42 a.m. on Thursday, January 9, 2025, at Schneck Medical Center, after a brief illness.
Jeanette was born on May 20, 1942, in Indianapolis, IN, to the late Betty Lou Robbins. She was a 1960 graduate of Brownstown High School. Jeanette was a member of Brownstown Christian Church, and she worked at the Russell Stover Outlet Store in Brownstown from the time it opened until the time it closed. Jeanette loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She enjoyed cooking and was known for her sour cream sugar cookies, ham salad and pimento cheese spread.
On October 15, 1961, in Freetown, IN, Jeanette married Terry Kindred, and he survives in Brownstown. They were married for over 63 years and were inseparable, doing everything together.
Other survivors include: 3 sons, James (Debbie) Kindred, Jerry Lee (Chrisy) Kindred, & Jeff (Lori) Kindred; grandchildren: Korey (Stephanie) Kindred, Kourtney (Josh) Ivy, Spencer (Abbie) Kindred, Dustin Kindred (Keri Duncan) , & Alyssa Kindred; numerous great grandchildren.
Arrangements have been entrusted with Johnson Funeral Home, Vallonia.
