James Richard "Rick" Dillman, 62, of Vallonia, passed away at 1:40 p.m. on Sunday, December 29, 2024, at Schneck Medical Center. He had been ill for 2 weeks.

Rick was born on October 16, 1962, in Salem to the late James Elmer Dillman & Gwynden Fleetwood Dillman. He worked at Darkis Sawmill and was a self-employed Mechanic. Rick was a member of the VFW and the American Legion of Salem and Seymour. He enjoyed working on vehicles, country cruising, junking and going to flea markets, and enjoyed animals, especially horses.

Rick is survived by his companion, Crystal Bohall Hampton; children: Jamie (Orlando) Dillman, Jeremy Dillman, Ashley Dillman, Brandy Fields, Brandon Fields, Dustin Fields, Cody Dillman, Briana (Keaton) Gay, and Joey Hampton; numerous grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren; sisters: Tammy (Rick) Alvey & Pam (Rick) Baughman; and a brother-in-law, Roger Ferguson.

Rick was preceded in death by his parents and 2 sisters: Brenda Spradlin & Susie Ferguson.

A Celebration of Rick's life will be held on Saturday, January 4, 2025, from 11:00 am until 1:00 p.m at Johnson Funeral Home, Vallonia. Memorial contributions may be given to Johnson Funeral Home.
