James (Jim) Dean Miller, 66, of Medora, passed away unexpectedly at 5:35 p.m. on Wednesday, March 4, 2026, at his home.

Jim was born on February 20, 1960, in Lima, OH to the late Joseph Junior Miller and Wanda Louise (Mock) Miller. He was 1978 graduate of Brownstown Central High School. He worked in Maintenance at Union Camp/Exopack retired after 36 years of employment.

Jim enjoyed working, cutting wood, and watching TV especially wrestling. He loved spending time with his family and enjoyed playing with his dogs.

Jim married Katherine Smith Miller in 2002, and she survives in Medora. Other survivors include his children: Benjamin (Natasha) Miller & Jamie (Ryan) Grinstead; stepdaughter, Heather M. Leeper; grandchildren: Rylie & Olivia Grinstead, baby girl Miller on the way, Alexis Leeper, Kane & Ripley Moore, Jaimon & Aine Leeper; siblings: Debra Layne, Tina Frazier, Margaret Root, Joe (June) Miller, & Tom (Sherry) Miller.

Jim was preceded in death by his parents; brother, David Miller; and a stepson, Joseph D. Leeper.

Funeral Services for James (Jim) Dean. Miller will be conducted at 6:00 p.m. on Monday, March 9, 2026, at Johnson Funeral Home, Vallonia with Chris Criminger officiating. Friends may visit with the family on Monday from 4:00 p.m. until the time of service.
