James R. Mifflin, 69, of North Vernon, IN, passed away at 9:01 p.m., Saturday, November 4, 2023, at Our Hospice of Southern Indiana, Columbus. He had been ill for 3 years. James was born on March 26, 1954, in Muncie, IN to the late John Mifflin and Anna Bertram Mifflin. On March 16, 2002, he married Linda Graham Mifflin, and she survives in North Vernon. Most of his life, James worked in Construction. He attended New Life Assembly of God in Seymour. He was a member of the Moose Lodge and The Eagles Club, both in Seymour. Survivors include his wife; 2 sons: Brent Mifflin of Muncie & Jamie Mifflin of Columbus; stepdaughter, Kelly Williams; 2 stepsons: Andy & Bradley Ball; several grandchildren & great grandchildren; a brother, John Mifflin of Muncie; & 3 sisters: Patricia Blanton of Muncie, Peggy McCormick of Seymour, & Jeanie Robbins of Ohio. James was preceded in death by his parents; a stepson, John Ball; & sisters: Cathy Noblitt & Mary Blanton. Funeral Services for James will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, November 8, 2023, at Johnson Funeral Home, Vallonia with Steve Hyer officiating. Friends may visit with the family on Wednesday from 11:00 a.m. until service time at the funeral home. The burial will take place at Vallonia Cemetery.
