Harlan James Helwig, 92, of Waymansville, Indiana passed away at 10:20 p.m. Monday, November 23, 2020, at the Hoosier Christian Village, Brownstown. Harlan was born on July 15, 1928 to the late Arthur & Emma Sager Helwig. He was a member of St. Peter Lutheran Church in Waymansville, Indiana. He married Mary Polley Helwig on July 3, 1949 in Waymansville. Survivors include three sons: Michael 'Jim' James (Debbie) Helwig of Vallonia, Gregory 'Greg' Helwig of Waymansville, and Jeffrey 'Jeff' (Ellen) Helwig of Texas; and her daughter, Jane Helwig (Todd) Folds of Greenwood ; daughter-in-law, Debbie Helwig of Waymansville; 10 grandchildren, and 15 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Friday, November 27, 2020 at the St. Peter Lutheran Church in Waymansville with Pastor Erik Sorenson officiating. Friends may visit at the church from 10:00 a.m. until time of the service. Burial will take place at the St. Peter Lutheran Cemetery, Waymansville.
