Gerald Lee "Buck" Ault, 74, of Norman, passed away in his home at 6:30 a.m. Wednesday, February 12, 2025. He had been ill for several years.

Gerald was born on February 6, 1951, to the late John William Ault Sr., and Florine Horton Bryant Ault. He married Alice Marie Bottorff Ault, and she preceded him in death. He worked as a logger for Ault Sawmill and National Veneer, he did mechanical work and also cut trees for people.

Survivors include his children: Brian Ault of Seymour & Cindy (Aaron) Fish of Norman; grandchildren: Porscha, Brittany, Zachary, Brandon, Michael, & Tyler Jolly, Kendra Ault, Skyla (Cameron) Summers, Xander Ault, Chelsea Fish, Braydon (Abigail) Fish, Katherine Fish, & Kaleb Brooking; 23 great grandchildren; brothers: Herb Ault & Simeon (Angie) Bryant Jr.; sisters: Karen (Danny) Fisher, Kathy Gorbett, Rosie Garduno, & Sherry Lancaster; sister-in-law, Sylvia Ault; and favorite cousin, Lisa Horton.

Gerald was preceded in death by his parents, stepparents: Kathleen Dillman Ault Downing & Simeon Bryant Sr.; daughter, Penny Smith; brothers: John & Jackie Ault; sister, Geraldine Bowling Tobias; and a sister-in-law, Rebecca Ault.

Gerald enjoyed working on tractors, mowers, and cars. He loved wood crafting and painting. Most of all, Gerald enjoyed playing with his grandchildren and great grandchildren. According to his daughter Cindy, "He was the best dad ever."

Funeral services for Gerald will be held at 1:00 p.m. Monday, February 17, 2025, at Johnson Funeral Home with Mitchell McIntyre officiating. Friends may visit with the family on Monday from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service. The burial will take place at Clearspring Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be given to Johnson Funeral Home.
