She attended Vallonia Christian Church. She was a homemaker. She loved to make hemp necklaces, enjoyed anything to do with the Grateful Dead, camping, riding four wheelers, and was described by her husband to be funny and outgoing. Erica was born on May 9, 1982 in Seymour to Steven Mark Sterling of Seymour and June Devonne Wayt Sterling of Columbus. She lived all of her life in Jackson and Jennings County. She married Shawn Bowman on April 20, 2002 and he lives in Vallonia. Other survivors include 4 children: Noah Braiden Ray, Shawn Timothy Bowman II, Johnathon Mark Albert Bowman, Hailey Marie Bowman all of Vallonia; one brother, Paul Sterling of Columbus. Funeral services will be Friday, March 20th at 1 p.m. at Johnson Funeral Home with Grady Styles officiating. Friends may call Friday from 10 a.m. until service time at the funeral home.
