E. Jean Grissom, 92, Brownstown, formally of Piqua, Ohio, went to her heavenly home May 15, 2014. She was born in Centerville, Ohio to Charles and Edna Kindle on February 3, 1922. She was married to Richard L. Grissom on November 1942 at St. John's Lutheran Church in Piqua, Ohio and he survives. Other survivors include a daughter and son-in- law, Marcia and Mickey Hudson of Brownstown; a grandson Rick (Summer) Hudson of Francesville, IN; a granddaughter, E. Nicole (Stacy) Downs of Brownstown; great grandchildren Jadyn M. Hudson and Carter M. Hudson of Francesville, IN; two nieces, Sue (Keith) Motter of Sidney, Ohio and Karen (Marvin) McDowell of Covington, Ohio; two nephews, Michael Kindle of Sidney, Ohio and Gary Greth, Tucson, AZ. She was preceded in death by her parents, a sister Rhea Greth, and a brother, Charles Kindle, Jr. She graduated from Houston High School in Houston, Ohio and the former Miami Jacobs School of Business in Dayton, Ohio. She and her husband, along with their friends William "Bill" and Helen Brownlee, owned and operated Piqua Coin-Op Laundry and Covington Car Wash. She was a 70 year member of St. John's Lutheran Church of Piqua. She was also an active member of St. John's Ladies Circle, ABC Mother's Club and several card clubs. Private services will be held Sunday, May 18th at Johnson Funeral Home in Vallonia at 2 p.m. with Rev. Andrew Currao officiating. A Christian graveside committal service will be held at Forest Hill Cemetery in Piqua, Ohio on Monday, May 19th at 1:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. John's Lutheran Church, 448 S.
