Johnson Funeral Home 2005 South Main Street Vallonia, Indiana 47281 812-358-3341 Dennis "Denny" L. Wischmeier, 60, of Vallonia died unexpectedly at his home on Friday, November 14, 2014. He had been employed with Clifton Nicholson Jr. Design Studio in Scottsburg where he took care of the animals. He was a member of the United Peafowl Association. Denny was born on April 19, 1954 in Seymour the son of Arnold and Janet Wingler Wischmeier, both preceded him in death. He was a member of St. Peter's Lutheran Church and a lifelong resident of Jackson County. Denny had a love for animals and was the owner of Driftwood Valley Farms. He was a 1972 graduate of Brownstown Central High School. Survivors include: Cousins/Sisters: Rodonna Hall & Reah Singer of Vallonia; Rosemary Kallembach and Peggy Wingler Conley of Clearspring; and many other cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents. Funeral services will be on Wednesday, November 19, 2014 at 1pm at Johnson Funeral Home with Chris Criminger officiating. Visitation will be on Tuesday from 4-8pm at Johnson Funeral Home and also on Wednesday from 12noon until service time at 1pm at the funeral home.
