Obituary

Darvin Fleetwood, 67, of Vallonia, died Sunday, September 15, 2013 at 4:28 a.m. at his residence in Haleysburg. He had been ill for four months. He attended Haleysburg Nazarene Church. He played guitar and loved to listen to country music. He was born June 25, 1946 in Haleysburg to Millard and Geraldine Devins Fleetwood and they both preceded him in death. He was a lifelong resident of Washington County. Survivors include brothers, James (Rebecca) Fleetwood of Medora and Mike (Ritche) Fleetwood of Seymour; sisters, Gwynden Dillman of Vallonia, Regina (Steve) Coffey of Vallonia, & Karen (Charles) Scott of Medora; several nieces and nephews also survive. He was preceded in death by his parents, 2 brothers--Dewayne, Danny and Harvey Fleetwood and a sister--Rhonda Underwood, a niece, nephew, a great niece and a great nephew. Funeral Services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Johnson Funeral Home with the Rev. Matt Roberts officiating. Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. Monday and from 1 til service time Tuesday. Burial will take place at the Vallonia Cemetery. Memorials can be given to the American Cancer Society.
