Clay Allen Elkins, 26, of Vallonia, IN, died at 9:40 p.m. on Sunday, August 10, 2014 at his residence. In his younger years, he attended Haleysburg Nazarene Church. He attended Salem High School. He was an employee of Valeo Sylvania. Clay was born on June 17, 1988 in Seymour, to Gary R. and Esther Stahl Elkins who both live in Vallonia. He is also survived by a sister, Pepper (Travis) Dunaway of Campbellsburg, a brother, Daniel R. Elkins of Vallonia, Nephews, Zion T. Dunaway, Xavier T. Dunaway, a niece, Delaney L. Elkins; grandmother, Alice Elkins. He was preceded in death by grandfather, Bud Elkins, and grandparents, Clyde Jr. & Bernadine Stahl. Funeral Services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, August 14, 2014 at Johnson Funeral Home, Vallonia. Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. Wednesday, August 13, 2014 and from 12 noon until service time Thursday at the funeral home. Burial will take place at the Vallonia Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be given to the Elkins family. Clay loved spending time with his family, especially his nephews, and his friends. He enjoyed driving large equipment, motorcycles and four wheelers, and cutting wood.
