Cassandra “Sandy” Hehman, 67, of Brownstown, passed away at 8:55 p.m. Thursday, October 1, 2026, at her home. She had been ill for several years.
Sandy was born in Cincinnati, OH on August 6, 1959, to Garl Norton & the late Bonnie (Lane) Norton. She was a graduate of Brownstown Central High School. Sandy worked at the shirt factory, was a homemaker, and worked at Brownstown Central High School as a Special Needs Assistant.
Sandy enjoyed attending her children and grandchildren’s sporting events and especially loved riding Harley’s.
On December 5, 1976, at Tampico Baptist Church, Sandy married Jeffrey Allen Hehman, and he preceded her in death on June 15, 2024.
Survivors include her children: Jason (Carla) Hehman of Brownstown, Jasmine (Daniel) Hehman of Brownstown, & Jamison (Amy) Benton of Seymour; brother, Zach (Sandra) Hall; sisters, Patricia (Eddie) White & Penny Norton; a brother-in-law, Roger Hehman; grandchildren: Adrianna (Austin) Bowles, Ethan Hehman, Landon Hehman, Brycelyn (Wes) Pottschmidt, Carl Ruddick, Peyton (Gavin) Flemming, Reese Henry, Elijah Hehman, Xander Burton, and Hunter & Henry Benton; great grandchildren: Millie, Lynnleigh, Mackey, & Kolbie Bowles, Ella & Beckett Hehman, Brielle, Bentley, and soon to be baby Hehman, Addilyn & Augustus Pottschmidt, Grayson Flemming.
Sandy was preceded in death by her husband; mother; sister, Annette Hall; and great grandson, Nolan Flemming.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, October 6, 2026, at Johnson Funeral Home, Vallonia with Gary Bradley officiating. Friends may visit with the family on Monday, October 5th from 4:00-8:00 p.m. and from 10:00 a.m. until service time Tuesday at the funeral home.
The burial will take place at Vallonia Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be given to Riley Children’s Hospital Miracle Ride.
