Johnson Funeral Home 2005 South Main Street Vallonia, Indiana 47281 812-358-3341 Carl Lee Fosbrink, 68, of Seymour, died at 8:17 a.m. December 12, 2015 at his home. He was a United States Air Force veteran and a member of Redeemer Lutheran Church. He was retired from Cummins. He graduated from Brownstown Central High School and attended Purdue University. Carl loved animals, especially chickens and sheep. He was the 14th person to be inducted into the Poultry Hall of Fame and was known world-wide as Mr. Barred Rock. He was a Master Breeder and Master Exhibitor of Barred Plymouth Rock chickens, as well as other breeds. Carol also enjoyed breeding and raising registered Jacob sheep and fishing. Mr. Fosbrink was born January 5, 1947 in Seymour to Alvin (deceased) and Ruby Fee Fosbrink (survives in Brownstown). Survivors include his mother; 3 children, Julie A. Miller of Georgia, Eric V. (Leigh) Fosbrink of Trafalgar, Truda L. (Sean) Hartmann of Evansville; 2 grandchildren, Karmen & Brooke Fosbrink both of Trafalgarl; 1 brother, Jerry (Janet) Fosbrink of Columbus; a good friend and Caregiver, Victor Aquino-Ramirez & family. He preceded in death by his Father, Alvin Fosbrink and a nephew, Jay Fosbrink. Graveside Services will be conducted Tuesday at 11 a.m. at Fairview Cemetery in Brownstown and all family and friends are invited to attend. Johnson Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
