Candice Lee Sons, 75, of Brownstown, passed away at 6:39 a.m. on Wednesday, May 27, 2026, at Seymour Crossing.

Candice was a member of the Brownstown Nazarene Church. She worked for Sylavania and then for Trafalgar in Crothersville. She was also a substitute teacher for Brownstown and Medora schools.  She enjoyed walking, cross stitching, crocheting, puzzle books, and especially reading her bible.

Candice was born on January 5, 1951, in Seymour, IN, to the late Edgar & Ish (Miller) Baker. On June 7, 1992, she married Donald Sons and he survives in Brownstown.

Along with her husband Don, other survivors include her son, Steven Sons of Louisville; grandchildren: Zari Grace Sons, Lydia Sons, & Harper Faye Sons; brothers: Chris Baker, Doug Baker, & Andy Baker; and a nephew, Doug Baker, Jr.

Candice was preceded in death by her parents.

Funeral services for Candice Lee Sons will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, May 29, 2026, at the Brownstown Nazarene Church with Brother Bill Edwards officiating. Friends may visit the family on Friday at the church from 9:00 a.m. until service time. Memorial contributions may be given to Brownstown Nazarene Church. Burial will take place at Dixon Chapel.
