C. Norm Brown, of Mitchell, IN, died at his home at 1:06 a.m. on Monday, October 22, 2018. He had been ill for 3 months. He was farmer. Norm enjoyed NASCAR, country cruising, and liked to coon hunt. He was born on October 22, 1937 in Jackson County, IN to the late Marion & Bessie Daulton Brown. He lived all of his life in Jackson and Lawrence Counties. He was formerly married to Vera Gardner Brown and she preceded him in death on September 25, 2013. Survivors include 4 children, Colleen Carnita Jackson (Michael Macy) of Bedford, Leatha "Gail" (Barry) Taylor of Mitchell, Melissa Dawn (Joe) Kern of Mitchell, and Coy Brown of Bedford; Grandchildren, Heather Bennett, Erica Boone, Joshua Powell, Tracy Boone, Brandon Wilson, Caitlin Chaillaux, Brianna Wilson, Kiana Brown, Matthew, Caden, & Caleb Kern; Sister, Mary Alice Gardner of Bedford; Great Grandchildren, Kealen Bennett, Aidan Reynolds, Alexis Fettig, Marley & Peyton Chaillaux, Alivia & Emilia Wilson, Austin & Allie Harper and a great grandson Boone on the way. Norm was preceded in death by his parents, and brothers, Maurice Elliott, Harley, Bob & Cliff Brown. Funeral Services will be conducted Wednesday, October 24, 2018 at 12:00 p.m. at Johnson Funeral Home, Vallonia. Friends may be visit at the funeral home from 10:00 a.m. until time of service.
