Brenda Gayle Bowers, 63, of Butlerville, IN, died at 10:23 a.m. on Tuesday, November 26, 2019 at St. Vincent Hospital, Jennings County. She was an Army Veteran and had been a Civil Service Employee. Brenda enjoyed crocheting, quilting, scrapbooking and reading. She was born on July 29, 1956, in Glasgow, KY to the late Albert James & Martha Norma Jean Jessie Cross. On February 2, 1980, she married Roger Dennis Bowers and he survives in Butlerville. Other survivors include her children, Angela Jean Assmann of Columbus, IN, Rhea Dawn Goen of Salem, Ramie Burns of Pekin, and Dennis Bowers of Seymour; 11 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren; a brother, Rick Cross of Columbus. She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Danny Cross. Friends may visit with the Bowers family at Johnson Funeral Home on Sunday, December 1, 2019, from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. Memorial Contributions may be given to Peace Lutheran Church or to Red Sky Rescue.
