Betty Irene (Davidson) Byarlay, 81, of Medora, passed away on Monday, February 6, 2023, at her son Andy's home in Norman. Betty was born on March 13, 1941, in Seymour, to the late Meredith "Doggy" & Irene (Ingram) Davidson. On November 7, 1970, she married Olen E. "Gene" Byarlay and he passed away January 26, 2023. Betty was retired from the Hoosier Christian Village where she worked in the housekeeping and dietary departments. She also was a substitute teacher at Medora School. She enjoyed fishing, mushroom hunting, and camping. Survivors include, her children: Tawana (Jerry) Baker of Medora, Andy (Teresa) Wayman of Norman, & Jerri Luster of Arkansas; step children: Randy (Tammy) Byarlay of Medora, Debbie (Danny) Wineinger of Missouri, Don (Kathy) Byarlay of South Carolina, & Connie (CJ) Jimenez of Texas; grandchildren: Krista Gumm, Jerrica Wright, Brittany Gasser, Lynnzi Britain, Derrick Williams, Dustin Williams, Faythe Williams, Ashley Fisher, Bailey Wayman, Jayla Ritchie, Jara Bring, Jace Standridge, & Jaden Standridge; several great and great great grandchildren; 1 brother, Kenny (Carol) Davidson of Medora; and several nieces and nephews. Betty was preceded in death by her parents; husband; children: Greg Williams & Pam Colwell; and a sister, Barbara Freeman. Funeral services for Betty will be held at 1:00 p.m. Friday, February 10, 2023, at Johnson Funeral Home, Vallonia with Bishop M.L. Walls officiating. Friends may visit with the family on Friday at the funeral home from 10:00 a.m. until service time. Burial will take place at White River Valley Cemetery, Medora.
