Barbara Sue Lindsey, age 84, of Vallonia, passed away at 5:32 a.m. on Wednesday, September 3, 2025, at Hoosier Health & Living in Brownstown.

Barbara was born on March 19, 1941, in Washington County, IN to the late Clifford and Nellie Mae (Dixon) Wheeler. She was a member of Faith Baptist Church, Vallonia and was employed with Seymour Manufacturing and then worked for the Vallonia Tree Nursery for 29 years. Barbara enjoyed going to church, listening to music, being in the woods and picking seeds of all kinds.

Survivors include: 2 sisters, Marie Sterling & Priscilla Beck; grandchildren: Zachary B. Miller, Tara Cockerham, Jeret Terrrell, Karec Terrell, Crystal Salsman, Nathan Combs; sister-in-law, Beulah Mae Wheeler; and several nieces and nephews.

Barbara was preceded in death by her parents; longtime companion, James Lambert; daughters: Pamela Combs & Linda Terrell; brothers: Donald Wayne Wheeler, George Thomas Wheeler, & Ervin Wheeler; sisters: Bonnie Killey & Minnie Tiemeyer.

Funeral services for Barbara will be held at 12:00 p.m. Saturday, September 6, 2025, at Johnson Funeral Home, Vallonia. Friends may visit with the family on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until service time at the funeral home. Burial will take place at Vallonia Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be given to Faith Baptist Church.
