Teresa J. Kindred, 58, of Brownstown, died at 10:42 a.m. Monday, February 11, 2019 at her home. She had been ill for several months. Teresa was a member of St. Ambrose Catholic Church. She was a retired Special Education Teacher and spent her first 3 years teaching in Madison and then the next 30 years at Brownstown Elementary and Middle Schools. She graduated from Brownstown Central High School, Oakland City College and received her masters from Indiana University. Teresa was very active in her church and loved her family, friends and cats dearly. She was born on August 12, 1960 in Seymour, IN to the late Ralph and Mary Elizabeth Stahl Kindred. Teresa is survived by her brother, Terry (Janette) Kindred of Brownstown, sister, Sherry Steward of Vallonia and a sister-in-law, Ruby Kindred of Brownstown. She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother, Charles Barry Kindred, 2 sisters, Linda Sue Siefker and Beth Ann Kindred, and 2 brother-in-law's, Conley Siefker & Billy Steward. A Memorial Mass will be held, Tuesday, February 19th at 11:00 a.m. at St. Ambrose Catholic Church. Friends may visit at the church from 10:00 a.m. until service time. Burial will take place at the Fairview Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be given to the St. Ambrose Catholic Church or to Saints On Our Side.
