Betty Brewer

Betty Brewer, 86, of Vallonia, died on Wednesday, December 16, 2020 at the Silver Oaks Health Campus, Columbus, IN. She was born on September 30, 1934 in Warrington, England to the late Thomas & Martha Towers Baguley. On August 1, 1952, in Warrington, England, she married Harold “Lloyd” Brewer and he preceded her in death on May 9, 2011. Betty was a member of the Driftwood Christian Church where she prepared communion and helped as a greeter. Everyone loved Betty—she enjoyed life and loved to laugh. She also enjoyed gardening. Earlier in her life she babysat and the children adored her. She crocheted booties and blankets and gave them away. Betty loved spending time with her family and enjoyed her beloved dog, Maggie. Survivors include her children, Jackie (Kenny) Newkirk of Columbus, Roger (Georgette) Brewer of Vallonia, & Glenn Brewer of Medora; grandchildren, Stacie Newkirk Hertenstein, Melissa (Jack) Newkirk Booth, Elizabeth (Steven) Brewer Kloote, Andrew Brewer, Stephanie (Austin) Brewer Green, Isaiah Brewer & Nicholas Brewer; great grandchildren, Myles, Taia, & Owen Hertenstein, Tyler & Landon Booth, Nikhil Richter, Bradley Kloote, Zoei Kenli Richter, Halle Rae Kloote, & June Louise Green; sister, Jean Wernham of Warrington, England; & a sister-in-law, Lil Baguley of Blackpool, England. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, brothers—Freddie Baguley & Thomas (Betty) Baguley and a sister—Mavis (Jack) Edwards. A private family funeral service will be held Saturday, December 19, 2020 at Johnson Funeral Home. Burial will take place at the Vallonia Cemetery.
