Jerry Kay (Lonsberry) Starr, age 77, of Medora, passed away on Saturday, November 23, 2024, at her home surrounded by her loving family.
Jerry Kay was a long-time member of Medora United Methodist Church.
Mrs. Starr worked at Ford/Visteon in Bedford, for many years.
Jerry Kay loved her family dearly, and especially loved spending time with her grandchildren and attending their activities. She also had a passion for cooking and baking for her family and friends, as well as spending some of her time golfing and dancing with her husband, Tom.
Born on June 20, 1947, in Seymour, Jerry Kay was the daughter of Hershel and Norma (Robison) Lonsberry, both of whom preceded in her in death. On August 19, 1989, in Ripley, Tennessee, she married Tom Starr, and he survives in Medora.
Survivors include: one son, Larry Wayne (Donnetta) Bennett of Medora; one daughter: Sara Kay (Shawn) Todd of Seymour; one stepson, Matthew Starr of Brownstown; one step-daughter, Lori (Brian) Burns of Indianapolis; grandchildren: Tanner (Brooke) Bennett, Kaylee (Ian) Bowling, Avery Carney (fiancé Klint Miller); Allison (Kammon) Simpson; and step-grandchildren: Caris Burns, Eli Burns, and Sarah Burns.
Jerry Kay was also preceded in death by one sister, Rita Sears: one brother, Gary Lonsberry.
Funeral services for Jerry Kay Starr will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, November 27, 2024, at Medora United Methodist with Pastor Larry Bennett officiating. Friends may call from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, November 26, 2024, at Medora United Methodist Church and from 1:00 p.m. until the time of the service at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, November 27, 2024, at the church.
Interment will follow at Zollman Cemetery. Memorials may be given to Medora United Methodist Church.
