Debbie Kay Hessig, 64, of Medora, passed away on Thursday, May 2, 2024, at her son's home in Sparksville, IN. She was born on September 26, 1959, in Salem, IN to the late Hube Wheeler and Zena Hackler McPherson. Debbie worked many jobs over the years and was last employed with R & R Donnelly. She loved playing the game Boggle, she was a thrift store buyer, and loved spending time with her children and grandchildren. Debbie was survived by her 5 sons: James Hessig, Jr. of Campbellsburg, Nathan Neeley of Sparksville, Matthew Hessig of Medora, Michael Hessig of Medora, and Gabriel Hessig of Scottsburg; 18 grandchildren; 1 great grandchild; a brother, Roger Wheeler. Debbie was preceded in death by her parents, her son, Josh Hessig, and several brothers and sisters. Friends may visit with the family on Wednesday, May 8, 2024, from 1:00-5:00 p.m. at Johnson Funeral Home, Vallonia. A private burial will take place at Wheeler Cemetery.
