Candace C. Bowling, 78, of Crothersville, passed away at her home on Saturday, August 10, 2024. She had been seriously ill for 3 months. Born on July 1, 1946, Candace was the daughter of the late William "Bill" O'Neal & Marian Janet Landberg O'Neal. She was a 1964 graduate of Columbus North High School & Indiana Business College. Candace retired from Cummins Engine Company after 30 years as a master scheduler & office compiler. She was very artistic and enjoyed crocheting, knitting, & painting. Candace enjoyed shopping & watching the Kentucky Derby. She was a very devoted mother, an excellent cook and made the best angel food cake. On July 24, 1970, in Burnsville, IN, Candace married Luther E. Bowling, and he survives in Crothersville. Other survivors include her children: Luanne Bowling of Jeffersonville, IN, Jeffrey Bowling of Crothersville, IN, & Jennifer Bowling of Jeffersonville, IN; a brother, Mike O'Neal of North Vernon, IN; and a sister, Nana Pappas of Nashville, IN. A celebration of Candace's life will be held on Saturday, September 14, 2024, at 4:00 p.m. at Johnson Funeral Home, Vallonia.
